The real test, however, was its performance in my old home with extremely thick walls. I was skeptical about the router's ability to penetrate these barriers, but I'm delighted to report that it has exceeded my expectations! The Archer AX53 delivers exceptional coverage, providing strong and stable connections throughout my home. The dual-band technology ensures that I get the best possible speeds, even in areas with high levels of interference. I've noticed a significant improvement in my online experience, with smoother streaming, faster downloads, and reliable connectivity. Lovely piece of hardware. I have always been a fan of tp link products. I needed an upgrade and purchased this one after comparing a few models. Just works with zero complaints.

This is 4th TP-Link router purchase for myself and friends, and all of them has performed well till today. I'm currently using Archer A6, and have used an Archer C1200 and MR-100 in the past. This is the first WiFi-6 router purchase. I had questions about WiFi-6 devices, whether they will work in WiFi-6 protocol if other older generation WiFi devices are connected to the same network. It works! WiFi-6 performance: This router was connected to a 200Mbps Internet connection. Laptops with WiFi-6 network can connect to both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands in WiFi-6 protocol. (Some budget routers doesn't support WiFi-6 in 2.4GHz band. Stay away from it). WiFi-6 laptops can make use of the full speed in both bands. That's cool because most of the older routers in 2.4GHz can only reach around 140Mbps max. So the WiFi-6 devices will get better speed and range in 2.4GHz band with this router. WiFi-4 and WiFi-5 performances: Older generation devices like mobile phones did get around 190Mbps speed in 5GHz band. Speeds on 2.4GHz were pretty slow for me. I have currently connected this router to Archer A6 for testing it. So there is double NAT issue. Speeds varied from 30-80Mbps for download and upload for budget phones. Older generation Laptops should get more than 100Mbps with this router. Need to test it later. This is a solid purchase for anyone looking for upgrading WiFi speeds on latest laptops or medium to high end phones that support WiFi-6. For older generation devices, this might help with speed on 5GHz band. But do not expect any speed increase on 2.4GHz band. Also note that 5GHz band is useful only if the device is used in the same room where the router is. So buy it according to the needs. The setup was a breeze. Just connect to one of the WiFi network names that start with TP-Link. The password is provided under the device itself. Load a browser and start setting up. It asks for simple questions like new WiFi name and password, how it should connect to Internet, etc. Follow a few steps and it is done. There is also a "Tether" app which can also be used to setup the WiFi router. This router also supports One Mesh. So any blind WiFi spots can be fixed by getting a One Mesh supported Tp-Link repeater. It has provision to hang it on wall. Its slimmer than Archer A6/C6. Has 4 LAN ports and no USB port. Looks and feel premium. Overall its a good buy.

The router was easy to set up and the connection has been very stable. Wi-Fi speeds are good and coverage around the house is noticeably better compared to my older router. The interface is simple to manage through the app and overall performance has been reliable so far. A solid option if you want a fast and dependable Wi-Fi 6 router.

My internet experience has gone to the next level with this add-on. Having full control over both Wi-Fi and LAN connections is fantastic, and I'm consistently getting around 2 ms latency. The only thing I noticed is that after a power outage, it takes some time to reconnect to the main router. I understand this is common with many Wi-Fi routers, but if TP-Link could reduce the reconnection time in a future update, it would make the experience even better. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the performance and would definitely recommend it.

Works, but has compatibility problems with TP-Link's own Wi-Fi 6 routers. I used the Archer T2U Plus V1 dongle with a TP-Link Archer AX53 router and faced constant disconnects and heavy packet loss. PingPlotter showed full connection drops. The strange part — the exact same dongle works perfectly stable with a Mercusys AC12G router (clean 20ms ping, almost zero packet loss). So the dongle itself is fine, but it does NOT pair well with the AX53. Also, the after-sales service from TP-Link technical support has been poor — they took almost 2 weeks just to reply to my support email. Very slow response for a registered complaint. If you have a Wi-Fi 6 TP-Link router, test it before relying on it. For a normal Wi-Fi 5 router it works okay. Antenna and range are decent for the price.

As mentioned in other reviews, this is an older version of the router and not v2.8, which is the newer version. Although I didn’t face any issues, the seller should clearly mention this in the title that this is older version 1, as v2.8 is much more efficient than v1. The range is lower than advertised. It is okay-ish for the third room with a thick wall, but the speed drops. The 2.4GHz frequency has better coverage, but again, with lower speed. For the room next to the router, the range and speed are good. For me, the most important thing was custom DNS support for both IPv4 and IPv6, since GTPL DNS is really bad. I use Cloudflare DNS to avoid buffering issues on Hotstar and Amazon website/app I don’t use the other features much, but I have noticed that newer devices have faster response times compared to older devices. This is not related to the router, since newer devices naturally have improved speed. Router is good but overpriced

Además, es perfecto si tienes muchos dispositivos conectados al mismo tiempo, porque no he notado cortes ni bajones de velocidad, ni siquiera viendo vídeos en streaming o jugando online. En este router puedes personalizar diferentes parámetros, como las redes de invitados, horarios de conexión, límites de velocidad o incluso priorizar dispositivos para que tengan más ancho de banda. También incluye seguridad WPA3 y la opción HomeShield para controlar amenazas o gestionar el acceso de niños y dispositivos invitados. Cuenta con la app TP-Link Tether, que me resulta muy cómoda. Desde ahí puedo ver quién está conectado, reiniciar el router o cambiar la contraseña sin tener que meterme en la web de configuración. Es sencilla de usar y muy visual 📲. Me ha resultado muy práctica para no tener que estar enredando demasiado con cables ni con ajustes complicados. ✅ CONCLUSIÓN Por el precio que tiene, me parece un router muy recomendable si quieres dar el salto a Wi-Fi 6 y mejorar la velocidad y cobertura en casa.
