I'm a female and size small to medium. Often these unisex braces are too large so I bought size small but barely fastens at the wrist. I then bought size medium and it is only fractionally larger.Strong metal support at thumb and thumb fastening velcro adjustable so if buying again, I would buy size Large. Definitely size up to fit comfortably around the wrist.
