So from the power company's point of view, it's a 3/4 hp motor (528/750=0.7, close enough). Throw in power factor, efficiency, and delivery loss and you are probably down to half a hp or so of mechanical power.. but certainly not as little as 1/6. From an engineer's point of view, it makes a big difference if you're going to power a chemical mixer for 12 hours at full load or sharpen a lawnmower blade for four seconds and then let the motor cool for thirty seconds. **Q: What is the size of the retaining nut that secures the grinding wheels on this unit? 1" is too small. 1-1/16" too big. Is it metric?** A: 1 1/16 socket will work if you don’t have 26mm **Q: Is the tool rest adjustable to any angle?** A: Yes, it is adjustable but it needs a better way to loosen and tighten it, other than using open-end wrenches.
