Meaning the current ball is the same version ball that was introduced for the 2016 season. I'm around a 7 handicap, 26 years old, fast swing speeds. There's no doubt that the top tier balls are still better, but I'm a budget golfer and sometimes I need 1 ball per round and other times I need 5. Callaway ChromeSoft are my favorite of the tour balls, so that will give you an indication of my review since I'm not looking for the closest substitute to the Prov V1. I tried Vice Pro, Taylormade Project A, Titleist NXT Tour, and Oncore Elixr. The Elixr was a close 2nd, but it's a little bit more expensive and my wedges scuff the cover pretty easily.Taylormade Project A. This ball felt soft of the club which is something I really like. Just a little bit softer than the other balls. The spin was what separated it above the rest of the balls for me. All of the balls except the NXT have a cast urethane cover, but this one generated the most stopping power of all of them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A very good golf ball if you're willing to spend a little more $$ *by R***R on July 20, 2017* I really like these golf balls.
