Consists of two sheets of high strength flame retardant film laminated with a third layer of molten polyethylene. Reinforced with cross tied polyester tire cord. Very durable, tear resistant, vapor barrier, ideal for containment. Ships 25 rolls/ pallet. Meets ASTM designation: D4397-91 and all associated specifications. Review: Excellent Vapor Barrier - Good product for my purposes. There is a distinction between water proof and vapor resistant barrier. I purchased this product as a vapor barrier for a ceiling assembly insulated with R38 fiberglass batts having damaged facing for a structure in Zone 5 with 1780 average Heating Degree Days (HDD). It is 20' wide which makes it a bit awkward to install. I had a helper to work with me. The extra width makes for fewer seams; seams in a vapor barrier should be taped. This material is fire retardant as prescribed by the IRC for vapor barriers. Beside staples I used tin metal disks (sold at HD) and 1" x 3" wood stapping to secure the polyethylene plastic barrier to the ceiling. Drywall was installed and attached to the strapping. The strapping runs perpedicular to the ceiling joists, attached with 2" nails (applied pnuematically). Review: Very good size & quality. - Bought this material to replace deteriorated tarps covering my roof after Hurricane Michael. Worked well when installed similar to Army Corp of Engineers contractors installing blue roofs. I was unable to find the blue roof material on line, this was a good substitute.
