Product Description High Performance - very soft Based on silicone and a special filler, TP-3 also outperforms high-performance pads, especially when height differences of closely spaced chips typically occur due to manufacturing tolerances. The TP-3 offers excellent thermal conductivity despite extremely low hardness. Minimization of thermal resistance The thinner the pad, the lower the termal resistance. The TP-3 pad with a thickness of 0.5 mm can easily be compressed to 0.3 mm and thus compensate for height differences between various components of up to 0.2 mm. Please note that due to the extremely low hardness, the installation of the 0.5 mm pad requires extra care. Please refer to the user manual. Versatile Applications Heat-conducting, vibration-damping, mouldable, electrically insulating - safe and easy to use. Thanks to its good compression properties, the soft heat conduction pad is particularly gentle on components and at the same time a good heat conductor. In addition to the standard format for M.2, the TP-3 is available in various sizes and thicknesses, which can be easily cut to the desired shape and size. This makes it ideal for RAMs, chipsets and ICs of all kinds, which are used in PCs, laptops, consoles, graphics cards and electronic devices in general. Safe handling The ARCTIC TP-3 is electrically insulating, non-adhesive and easy to handle. This means that optimal and safe heat transfer can be ensured in many application areas. Bridging gaps The TP-3 are softer than conventional pads and therefore particularly suitable for different chip heights and possible tolerances. Thanks to their good compressibility properties, the thermal pads act as the perfect gap filler and bridges uneven surface and air gaps without stressing sensitive and protruding components. Available in different thicknesses and sizes Our thermal pads are available in a choice of 0.5 mm, 1.0 mm and 1.5 mm. The 0.5 mm variant is ideally suited as an alternative to heat-conducting foil. The pads are available in different dimensions, depending on their thickness. If required, the pads can also be independently cut to any size. Stackable without Performance Loss The ARCTIC TP-3 thermal pads can be stacked particularly well due to their softness and low Interfacial Contact Resistance. This allows for flexible adaptation to various application requirements and the bridging of different thicknesses without compromising the efficiency of heat transfer. In contrast, harder pads often lose performance when stacked.

Review: Saved a GPU – Excellent Thermal Pads - These thermal pads worked perfectly. A friend’s PC had stopped working properly—it would power on without the GPU installed, but wouldn’t boot when the GPU was in. After some investigation, there was a fair amount of grease buildup on the GPU (they smoke and cook a lot nearby), so I took it apart to clean it and replaced the old thermal pads with these. The ARCTIC pads were easy to work with, nicely soft, and fit well as gap fillers. After reassembling everything, the GPU worked perfectly again with no issues at all. Really impressed with the quality and performance. If you’re refurbishing or repairing a GPU or other components, these are excellent thermal pads and absolutely did the job.

For context, I used it in my M2 MacBook Air to thermally connect the mainboard to the aluminium casing, which it does excellently. Almost immediately the heat is pulled out the processor and dissipated across the surface and through the 1.5mm thermal pad. For this application it works excellently, and I think you get enough for the money, although a little more would of course be appreciated.

**Q: What is the pad's W/m·K rating?**
A: My understanding is about 8. But I’ve used 20 and no significant difference. chips don’t get as hot as gpu and good contact is mire important. higher conductivity means less soft and compliant.  Need to make sure pads don’t hold gap open gpu to heatsink.  I put 1.5 mm Artic tp3 pads in memory chips and made deep impressions. But compliant. probably only needed 1 mm pads will redo when i get chance. 

21w/m2 doesn’t conform like this.  My old Clevo 870cu had really soft pads nobody remembers what the material was but Artic is closest I’ve found. My GTX 280M and 980m have same 100 watt rating

These thermal pads worked perfectly. A friend’s PC had stopped working properly—it would power on without the GPU installed, but wouldn’t boot when the GPU was in. After some investigation, there was a fair amount of grease buildup on the GPU (they smoke and cook a lot nearby), so I took it apart to clean it and replaced the old thermal pads with these. The ARCTIC pads were easy to work with, nicely soft, and fit well as gap fillers. After reassembling everything, the GPU worked perfectly again with no issues at all. Really impressed with the quality and performance. If you’re refurbishing or repairing a GPU or other components, these are excellent thermal pads and absolutely did the job.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for cooling components

I really like this stuff - I use it in combination with PTM 7950 on 2 PC's and gaming consoles and it really helps with temps. It works great applied directly on my M.2 SSDs, with their heatsinks applied on top. On gaming consoles, I use this on the chips around the e-gpu and also on the HDMI chip next to the port on the motherboard as this area gets too hot for my liking. It's easier to cut to size and apply if placed in the fridge a couple of hours before needed.
