I have always wanted to put a aluminum floor in with 1 inch foam insulation underneath. I did all this today. The console is Plastic but a sturdy feeling plastic , easy to cut and drill. I wanted it too be taller so I constructed the base out of PVC Board and treated Lumber and used Aluminum angle to secure it down with Rivets.
