Review: What's the fuss about? - I like Jodorowsky's films but... what is so special about The Incal? It's a pretty dumb story with dumb dialogue and weird ugly characters. The drawings by Moebius are sometimes impressive and he has a unique style for sure but... eh. Not my cup of tea overall. It was actually pretty tedious to get through and I found myself forcing myself to complete chapters just so I could get to the end of the book and move onto something hopefully better. At no point did I find it poignant or emotionally impactful. It was just one "crazy" scenario after another. It was probably an inspiration for the fifth element film and given how superficial and vacuous that film was, it makes sense.

I like Jodorowsky's films but... what is so special about The Incal? It's a pretty dumb story with dumb dialogue and weird ugly characters.
