This little thing makes shoveling way easier with less strain on my back. It is amazing how simply adding a second handle can relieve so much strain. It also feels very solid and is easy to install. I have only used it for one heavy winter so far, so hopefully it continues to be as durable as it seems. All in all, a great purchase that makes a tough job way less painful.

I purchased this product in 2018 for my heavy duty snow shovel. The shovel has since broke, but the handle is still in excellent condition and I put it on my new shovel. The included Allen wrench key was still attached and it worked perfectly. I just ordered another one for my new shovel and my garden tools.

Installation is simple: it clamps onto most tool handles with the included Allen wrench, and I like that the wrench stores right on the handle so you can tighten it if it loosens. Once in place, it feels sturdy and doesn’t slip. The resin material seems tough and has held up well through sun and cold weather. That said, it’s not perfect. The hardware isn’t captive, so you have to be careful not to drop the bolts when attaching it. Also, it does add bulk to the tool handle—fine for a shovel or rake, but it might feel awkward on something thinner like a broom. Bottom line: For the price, this is a smart add-on that can really reduce back strain during shoveling, raking, or other yard chores. It’s not a miracle worker, but it makes tough tasks easier and more comfortable.

Makes shoveling heavy snow so much better. By grabbing this grip rather than shovel handle it feels more natural and I get a more even power balance between my two arms. Maybe the fact that the grip is 90 degrees relative to the shovel handle and also brings it closer to my body is what makes it work so well.

This works great! Easy to assemble and use and really makes a difference when you are doing a lot of shoveling. Liked it so much I bought another one.

Put on ergonomic snow shovel. Very little bending needed to shovel the snow. Even bought another for me and one for Son. Seems to be durable, love it.

I had been having a lot of hand pain, and a whopper of a storm was heading our way, so I decided to give this extra handle a try. The storm ended up dumping nearly 38" of snow on us, and it was just me and my trusty shovel to dig out. While everything hurts, I'm pretty sure everything would have hurt a lot more without the assist. Nearly 6 hours of shoveling later my hand feels good, and I don't have any back pain. It allowed me to grip the shovel in a more natural way that put less strain on my hand, wrist, and elbow. I am a fan.
