Review: Awesome buy! - Amazing! Totally worth it. I put it on my perception hi life, and it works great. Stability was really good, better then expected. We went paddling with a wind advisory (not our best idea) and this fin worked just fine, no issues. Water was a little rough towards the end and it still kept us on track. I recommend getting the screws that don't need a screwdriver but besides that it was amazing, I did hear it spring back open a few times so it definitely did its job.
Review: Works great for shallow rivers - This was easy to install and works as it should in shallow water. A nice product that lets us get out in rivers where the fin that came with the board gets caught up on rocks. We love it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great for shallow rivers

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great fin for rivers and shallow waters, works on NIXY Inflatable SUP
*by J***T on September 6, 2020*

Great fin - allows paddling in water (or over logs) as shallow as 5 inches! I have a NIXY inflatable SUP that I purchased for paddling local rivers. We have a lot of downed trees as well as some shallow places, so I'm glad I was able to find an inflatable SUP that had a fin box that could accept fins made for the US fin box standard. It seems most inflatables are non-standard. I wrote to customer service and got a prompt reply when asking if it looked like this would be compatible (nice customer support!) The Frogfish fin does fit the center box. The fins that come with the board don't require a tool. They have a hinge tab at one end, then then thumb screw at the other. The Frogfish fin, however, does require a flat-head screw driver, so it's not quite as convenient. To install, one of the square nuts has to be removed from the screw and slid in the slot of the fin. The other nut can stay attached to the screw and slid into the fin. Then both can be screwed together and tightened. It's not a big deal, but the process might be improved a little if they could replace the screw ends with thumb screws to avoid the need for a screwdriver. Once the fin is installed, it will spring back (up) towards the board when needed. For comparison, I pushed it as far as it would go and then measured from the board to the tallest point. It was 4.5", making it slightly shorter than my 5" side fins. I've paddled the board both with and without the side fins. The SUP tracks quite well even when the Frogfish is the only fin. In normal use, when extended, it's about 12". So at only 4.5" from the board, the board can clear some pretty shallow places as well as longs that are only slightly submerged. So while it doesn't allow the SUP to clear places with obstructions right at the surface that those on kayaks can just scrape and slide over, it definitely makes a HUGE difference compared to normal fins. My board, for example, came with a 9" center fin. I bought and extra 5" fin to use in the center box prior to getting the Frogfish and that helped a lot, but the Frogfish is even a little better for clearance. Plus, it's curved shape probably helps with just a bit of slide when needed as opposed to the hard stop when a more vertically shaped blade catches. One reviewer mentioned the leading and trailing edges being blunt, but mine is not like that. There's definitely a taper on the leading edge which you can see in one of my photos. I've used this fin on a half dozen or more runs on a couple of rivers. I've heard it in action multiple time, and it performs well. I have no complaints about tracking at all. I highly recommend this for paddling in any area where there may be low areas, branches, logs, etc. The only reasons for taking off one star in my rating are minor: 1. a tool is needed to install and remove and 2. It does have a slight side wobble if you push it side to side, which might be resolved with a little sturdier material for the base. But with that said, it has not broken or created any problems, so that's minor.
