## Questions & Answers

**Q: Screaming kids in pool, which do you recommend**
A: I think they would do just fine for that. Everything is still audible but it takes the edge off of loud noises. I use this in a live band situation, so I need an lot more protection, but for situations such as lawn work, power tools and screaming kids, they should be fine! Cheers!

**Q: What about machine or motor noise?**
A: I've used them on numerous different motorcycles from 500cc to over 1450cc and they work great! I've also used them while shooting and they are just enough to tune the sound from a sharp crack to a dull thud. Remember, these are not designed to eliminate noise, just tune it. With that in mind I absolutely love how they perform and find them much better than standard ear plugs.

**Q: Do they sell just the case? I lost the case riding this morning.**
A: Just use an Altoid tin or mini m&ms

**Q: Like others, I received an orange colored set, not the clear set. Comments from others please?**
A: You have received the new and improved version of Nonoise Motor! The product images and description were not yet updated, that is how new they are! You are one of the first customers to receive these new and improved Nonoise earplugs and we are sure you will enjoy them. The new pairs of Nonoise have three big improvements:1. Bigger size to meet wishes of a better fit for users who have a big ear channel2. New and improved material that will last even longer3. ## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Surprising how well they work.
*by D***E on June 30, 2016*

Used these for the last 100 miles on my motorcycle. For me, they fit nicely, stay in and quiet the wind noise considerably. The cool thing is now I can hear my motorcycle, and some traffic around me. The ambient noise is not blocked out totally so I feel I have a bit more situational awareness. These worked so well for me that I have switched back to the in helmet speakers for my communication system and ditched the ear buds. Although it doesn't sound as clear it sounds good enough that I don't have to max out the volume at 70 mph. I'm surprised at how effective they are at blocking the wind noise.Pros:- Work as advertised- Stay in my ear and are short enough they don't rub on my helmet.- Nice aluminum case to store them in.- Orange color, not my favorite color but I can find them when I drop them. I'm all thumbs.Cons:- Price. I paid how much for a set of ear plugs? Come on Nonoise. These should cost in the $10 range maximum.- Short tab can be hard to remove, although this is a pro too as the short tab does not rub on my helmet.- Cost of the cleaning kit. Really need to get that lower. I'm using alcohol swabs seems to work ok.Recommendation: I would recommend these to my friend to try. Everyone has different ears. What works for me may not work for you. But these do what they are supposed to do. They just cost too much in my opinion. But I'll buy a spare pair just in case and keep them on my bike. I like them.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great... as long as your helmet has no air turbulence.
*by G***G on July 17, 2016*

These are excellent ear plugs... now. These are made for helmets that are allowed to have a clean stream of air or completely out of the air stream.Previously I had a windscreen on my naked bike. The screen protected my body from the wind. The wind was hitting me at about the level of my face shield. There was quite a bit of turbulence to my helmet at freeway speeds. I had a set of plugs that did a good job of blocking the sound. Problem is that it blocked ALL sound. It made it hard to hear my helmet's music. Also, I couldn't hear people when they were talking to me.I read good reviews about these plugs so I thought I would give it a try. At times, the wind noise was deafening. At the end of my rides I had a headache, so I went back to my old plugs. After I took off my windscreen, the air turbulence was gone so I thought I would give these plugs another try. I am now extremely happy with these plugs. These plugs allow me to clearly hear my surrounds and my comm unit very well without the damaging wind noise. The wind noise that does gets through is at a very tolerable level. I would definitely buy these again. If there is one thing I don't like, it is that the stems are short. I don't have fat fingers, but it is harder to place in my ear canal than others I have owned before. I am getting better at it so it isn't as much an issue anymore.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall not a bad pair of earplugs for the motorcycle, but a bit expensive for what they are.
*by C***S on August 9, 2018*

!!! 3 Year Update !!!I have now used this for a while and feel that I have enough time to write up a review on these. Overall I am happy with them.My review involved the following:Shoei GT-Air (which is already a decently quiet helmet in clean air)Naked Motorcycle (clean air)Motorcycle with Windshield (steady slowed down air with some buffeting)My go to earplugs were from Home Depot, 3M reusable corded earplugs with a 25db NRR which I was very happy with, but they took a little too much sound out from the rest of the world. I was happy overall and for the price I cant beat it.Some of the negatives of this is that the long ends sometimes jammed in the helmet and was uncomfortable at times because of this. Other times they seemed bigger than needed and would put pressure on the inside of my ears and cause irritation after a few hours ride. I would at times wear them not fully in my ear so that I can still kind of hear everything outside. It was hard to talk to people with the helmet on.Positive is that they are very quiet, especially on the highway with lots of car and tire noise. If the ear plugs didn't irritate me I could ride for hours with out being worn out from the sounds. They are also washable a couple of times, and very easy to take out with the attached cords. If I wore them a little lose, warning noises and helpful sounds were diminished but not eliminated. That being said and knowing where I'm coming from...I decided to try out the nonoise motor earplugs with mixed feelings. They are expensive for what they are and everyone had different feelings about them. They fit into my ears and almost disappear completely in them. What ever materials that they use is very soft, seals very well, and you can forget that at times you have them in your ears. I dont have any issues with wearing the earplugs in the helmet, there is a very short "stub" that does not jam up into the helmet and fits very well in the ear. This is both positive and negative.I don't know if Id call it "filtering", but it does reduce wind noise, engine noise, and highway general noise to an acceptable level (compared with out earplugs), and a bit louder than the 3M. You need to make sure that you do insert them properly to get a correct seal. I can take off my helmet and have a conversation with people with out removing the ear plugs. They are a little muffled, but understandable. What ever you want to call it, it does reduce the sound. If you have horrible wind noise before getting these, they may not be enough to drop the sound and pressures to a safe level.TL;DRThe Pros:Fits very well and "disappears" in the ear. Does not get caught onto the helmet when putting it on. Can generally hear sounds well even with the helmet on. Nice little storage tube. Washable. Can wear all day and still have conversations with them in.Negative:Price.. I need to get 3 years of use out of them, wearing them 6 days a week to justify cost. The short "stub" that you use to pull out of your ear is at times hard to grip and the disappearing into the ear at times makes it difficult to remove (I'm getting better at this). Not sure if Id use the word "filter", maybe reduce. Excessively loud motorcycles, or environments may overwhelm them.!!! Update !!!After using them for almost a year I'm completely happy with my purchase. They are holding up very well with use and cleaning. I think that I will get 3 years or if them with out issue.I have a good routine with inserting and removing them (even with the short stub) and as usual they disappear in my ears. Most of my previous concerns have disappeared. I'm completely happy with them and recommend them to others.!!! 3 Year update !!!I do at least 4 round trip rides a week on average (where I would at least need to insert and take out the earplugs 2 times a trip). They do get used a lot.How are they doing?Well they are close to 3 years and they are holding out well, they are a bit worn and the inside "filter" now can move around and be removed and re inserted again. It seems to have "de-bonded" from the ear plug. This has no effect on performance when put back into place. The filter will stay in place and not move on its own.The tail of them is starting to fall apart from the tugging on them when removing them, the mushroom sections of the earplugs are holding out well and still seal very well. The ear plugs didn't discolor or harden or break. They are still soft and playable and as usual I can wear them all day with out discomfort. Still very easy to wash with soap and water.I did say 3 year ago that if they lasted 3 years I feel that they would balance out the cost of throw away foamies. Well 3 years out I can justify the cost of the earplugs. I'm thinking I will get another year out of them before they become unusable. The case is holding up very well and does a great job of keeping them safe and stored.Would I get them again?Honestly I cant complain about them. You do need to make sure that you insert them straight in (like any ear plugs) because if you dont get a tight seal, your not controlling the wind noise anyway. This is not just this brand but others as well. The 3 mushroom flaps do have a very good seal that you can't feel when inserted properly and evenly. I wonder about others with 2 flaps sealing (along with material). I can honestly wear the no noise ear plugs all day with out issue with or with out helmet on.I have recommended these to other riders with out hesitation and most likely will buy another pair again in about a year.BUT....There are others out there that maybe able to do similar as these for a cheaper price. Materials used of course may degrade sooner, sealing of noise maybe problematic and comfort longevity may suffer. The alternatives tho... are intriguing I will admit.
