Obviously Mr. Allen was a religious student. Borrowing heavily from Christian thought. He seemed to have also delved into Greek stoism, Eastern traditions and Western philosophy. Expounding the power of the mind's ability to shape reality has become a doctrine of metaphysical gurus of late. But I don't believe James Allen's view corresponds with those "New Age" doctrines. Seeing that Allen saw an individual's situation resulting from actual cause and effect; mind effects actions, actions lead to consequences.I enjoyed the read and recommend it to anyone who likes inspirational writings.
