If you're recording and open the menu, does the menu get recorded into the video? This was a huge dealbreaker with their previous recorder.

First off, not sure why you would want to open the menu while it's recording. Secondly, if you're talking about the menu on the unit itself... then no, when it's recording it will not allow you to access the menu on the ViewPro. Now if you're talking about the menu of the device you're using to feed the video into the ViewPro, then yes it will show up on the recording as that's part of the source. The ViewPro will capture anything you feed into it, including the onscreen menu from the source device.

What is the bitrate that records at? Vide and audio please.

On the unit I have, I have it set to mid bitrate on the menu (the selections on the bitrate are low, mid & high). For the Mid bitrate option on the menu (with the file size set at 16 GB), the properties are: 1920 x 1080 Data Rate: 9782 kbps Total Bitrate: 9854 kbps 60 FPS Audio: 2 channel stero 72 kbps

Any one know the amps? Cuz you can buy a small 12volt to110 volt adapture plugs into can cigarette plug in car. I want to make axternal power source

The power supply that comes with View Pro indicates imput 110-240 A/C converts to output 12V 1.5A 18.0W

Can i power this from a car? i see that the power adapter is 12vdc, but a running car can have voltage up to 15v. will this damage the unit?
