Is there any reason this might not work on large dog sizes > 35 lbs? i have a 100+ lb shiloh shepherd. the auto-correct fence would be perfect for him

Does this product work if I leave my dog at home? Will I get notifications without my phone being onsite with my dog?

Accepted Answer

It is not recommended to use Dogtra's PATHFINDER2 without being able to monitor your dog. PATHFINDER2 is designed primarily for tracking, training, and controlling, and is not recommended as an E-FENCE only system. PATHFINDER2 works when the Receiver, GPS Connector, and your smart phone are all in communication. Communication range can be impacted by factors such as; line of sight interference, terrain, weather conditions, battery age and battery life. Will this work without cellular network coverage?

Accepted Answer

Cellular service is only needed to access offline Maps on your phone. If you are going to places that will have little to no service, you can plan your trip ahead and download the map via the Offline Maps tab. The GPS works independently from the cellular service on your phone, similar to how Bluetooth will work without cellular service. For more information, please contact Dogtra’s customer service team.

Is this system compatible with the previous Pathfinder Systems?
