Edit 3/26- My birthday was yesteray and I have been thinking about getting an EO3R. Before I make any purchase I will usually analyze it to death which is what I did in this case. I campared the run times of my EO9R that I just bought to the EO3R and was greatly surprised! As you can see by the attached pictures, the run times are conderably different in that the EO9R's run times are much better. Not to mention that the EO9R has more settings. Ok I was wrong, the EO3R has one more setting, which is the Red setting for reading maps which can be very useful. Then the cap opens up and a 14500 non primary lithium ion replacement can be installed. I HAVE N-E-V-E-R found a Fenix or any other flashlight that I have not been able to open, despite the manufacturer pretending it cannot be done, from Ryobi battery packs to this. IGNORE that it cannot be accomplished. It's super bright and the charge lasts a long time. Takes a couple hours to fully recharge but that's okay with me. I particularly like that it has an internal battery.
