Tastes like a juicy grilled steak with the burnt bits of fat on the ends, oh so good
Like many others, I discovered this at COSTCO, and had I known it was only for a limited time (at about $17), I would have bought 20 bags. It's seriously overpriced at $30+, but I guess it's one of those things, "If you have to ask how much it costs, you can't afford it." I could never say that about a car, boat or house, but I can afford this little luxury, and it is well worth it. I didn't like the other jerkies sold at COSTCO, but I was in a particularly good mood one day and decided to splurge on these. IMMEDIATELY, at first bite, I was addicted. It's soft and tender, has a moisture content that makes its own juices in your mouth (with a hint of soy sauce), and it tastes like a genuine STEAK. Seriously. This is the chewing gum us meat lovers fantasized about as kids... BBQ STEAK FLAVOR. It literally tastes like a juicy medium steak where the fatty ends got a little bit burnt black, and you bite into that part and get a nice, tender piece of steak with those juicy charred fatty bits oozing their goodness, the perfect amount of salt and pepper seasoning to make your eyes roll back in your head. Oh, goodness! Sorry, Mr. Gray, this is far better than anything your 50 Shades could deliver. So is it worth the price? Is a fine 50-year-old scotch worth it? It's not the kind of thing you chomp away at the whole bag in a day or two. SAVOR every piece. No bits tossed to the dog. Or even the kids. Let them earn their own money and buy their own bag! If you want to treat yourself, get a bag and keep it hidden. If you want some mass chomping, go with the Sasquatch/Bigfoot brand. This is for special occasions.

Everything id hoped for.
Product: Snake River Farms (SRF) American Wagyu Beef Jerky Rating: 4.5/5 (excellent) Im a bit of a jerky addict, and ive been slowly searching for the holy grail of jerkys . . . Chewy, but neither falling apart tender nor tough as a truck tire. Salty, but not to excess. Flavored, but not tiriningly overpowered. Sweet, but only just enough to properly balance the savor. And just enough smoke to accentuate without reeking of liquid smoke extract. And last, but not least, and by far the hardest to avhieve, is just the right amount of intramuscular FAT (aka marbling) to add some richness, extra tenderness, and premium beef flavor. In its oldest and most original forms, only the leanest and toughest cuts are normally used for jerky, because fatty cuts tends to go prematurely rancid, and are also best enjoyed with quick or minimal cooking. THAT is why wagyu excels here ... because it is a breed that produces above average marbling. $2-3/oz is not exactly cheap, and lands firmly into the midrange prices of premium jerkys ... but the fact that this is wagyu adds a whole new layer of bang-for-the buck value. Seriously, I got more enjoyment from just 1 bag of SRF AWBF than I did from 4 equal sized bags of Jack Links, Brinkmans, Cattlemans, or whatever. TOTALLY WORTH IT, IF IT FITS YOUR PRICE RANGE.

This Jerky is UNreal!
Ok so I have NOT been a fan of the jerky movement my entire life. But THIS STUFF?! WOW! It tastes SO GOOD! Clean protein so flavorful and doesnโt even taste like jerky in the traditional sense! It tastes like you could serve it w/ rice or vegetables AS IS! Definitely sold on it! Will be subscribing! Iโm floored ๐ณ

Tender
Very tender Don't expect to get harder jerky that requires you to soak it and chew on it for awhile before its edible this stuff is fairly soft and easy to chew a good jerky for people who cant chew hard foods. The Flavor is however just okay compared to other jerkys I dont think the price difference is worth it just due to the flavor. I think its all about the softness of the Wagyu, me personally am n I t a fan of Wagyu butits a good jerky. I used to cut meat for Agribeef / SRF and the Wagyu days were much more different than the normal beef days Wagyu looks, feels, cuts and everything is different. The amount of fat is extraordinary compared to the regular beef coming through.and boy do they charge a lot for it.
