Beautiful Finish for Our Gunite Pool!
We used Kelley Technical Coatings Olympic Zeron in Spanish Blue to repaint our gunite pool this summer, and we are really happy with how it turned out! The Spanish Blue color is beautiful and gave our pool a fresh, clean, updated look. This was definitely a project that required some preparation and time, but the finished result was worth the effort. The two-part epoxy went on nicely, and once everything was completed, the pool looked almost brand new. We were a little nervous about tackling a pool repaint ourselves, but we are very pleased with the finished product. The color is beautiful in the water, and it really transformed the entire pool area. If you're considering repainting a gunite pool, make sure you follow the preparation and application instructions carefully and allow yourself plenty of time to do the job right. We're very happy with the results and would purchase this product again!

A year in - so far so good.
We painted our gunite pool a year ago with this paint. So far, it's been perfect. Using this stuff is a bugger. Prep work needs to be done by the book. Follow the directions carefully. When you're ready to paint, pay attention to the temperature and how long you have to apply it. Keep track of mix time for each gallon and mix up one gallon at a time as you go. (our pool required 6 gallons) Do NOT try to do this by yourself. One person needs to paint while the other mixes and keeps track of the time. When done right, the pool is absolutely gorgeous and will stay that way for years. It looks like a shiny candy coating. This is the second time I've used epoxy for my pool. The first time it lasted about 7 years before needing to be done again. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. Pro tip: When you're all finished and ready for clean up, take your ear pods out BEFORE removing your mask so that your ear pod doesn't pop out of your ear and bounce down into the middle of your freshly painted pool! Don't ask me how I know!

Olympic Pool Paint Viking Blue
I recently used Olympic Pool Paint Epoxy Pool Paint in the Viking Blue color, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. In my opinion, Viking Blue is one of the best pool colors available—it gives the water a beautiful, rich blue appearance that really stands out. The paint went on smoothly and provided excellent coverage. That said, I highly recommend applying two coats of epoxy primer followed by two coats of epoxy paint. Taking the extra time to do the full system is well worth it for the best finish and durability. So far, the results look amazing, and the finish is smooth, vibrant, and professional-looking. Time will tell how well it holds up over the years, but based on my experience so far, I have high hopes for its long-term performance. If you're considering an epoxy pool paint, I would definitely recommend giving Olympic Pool Paint in Viking Blue a look.

Great for fiberglass pool slide.
Prepared it as recommended, sanded, washed with TSP, then with denatured alcohol, waited 24 hours, then primed with the proper gunzite primer, waited 24 hours and painted. Then I waited 3 days to hook up water and use it. It's only been a couple of weeks, but my fiberglass slide looks fantastic, 30+ years old but looks new. I've had problems with the water kits, but this paint is so shiny and slick it hardly needs the water jets. If it's as durable as claimed then this should last several years.

The paint turned my family into the Smurfs
DO NOT BUY. After painting, it looked amazing. We were very impressed, and it looked beautiful. Fast forward not even 2 months later, and every time we come out of the pool we all look like smurfs. I can only imagine how toxic this must be. The paint is totally peeling off, chipping, and bleeding all over our skin and in the water. We reached out to the business and heard nothing back. We followed all instructions to a T. Sadly, we are out tons of money, and can’t use our pool as the paint keeps penetrating our skin. Extremely disappointed in the lack of response from the business who sold this paint.

Fantastic paint with prep, timing, situational awareness
I am a Contractor with a 70,000 gallon pool. Ventilation is imperative for epoxy. NIce smelling water paint is garbage that won't stick.Try the latex if you can't intelligently protect yourself with active measures. Preparation is everything. Power mixing for time specified means power mixed for time specified.. No more that 48 hrs. between coats otherwise sand whole thing. Induction time is imperative. 30 minutes if in doubt of temperature of paint . Take pic of instructions on can and zoom up. Read and reread. I use a non contact thermometer for situational awareness for application, mindful of avoiding the sun until their superb black epoxy dura seal or other epoxy paint sets overnight and turns into a tile glaze like finish. Be sure to cast sand on walking surfaces ( it will pop off leaving behind a fossilized good traction surface) or you will be sorry. Their Epoxy paint is no question the best on the market and most economical in the long run. Update one year later: No peeling whatsoever, fantastic bond! I don’t know who the clown was that installed the reflecting pool in Washington, but they didn’t know a damn thing and for sure they didn’t do their due diligence! .

Great product with excellent results
Works great on fiberglass steps and pool coping. We replaced the liner on our 25 year old pool. Our fiberglass steps were discolored and had problems with voids under the steps creating cracks in the steps. I filled the voids with spray foam which made the steps firm and strong and then patched the repairs with epoxy weld. I then sanded it all and painted with the pool paint. I love the bikini blue tint. I mixed small amounts to use at a time following the 3 to 1 formula of paint to additive. The paint covered beautifully with one steady coat. It dries to touch in a few hours and totally within 24 hours. It totally changed our elderly pool steps into their new look. It is expensive but the coverage is very good. The paint is thicker than regular household paint so it doesn't drip and splash as much. Very good value for your money.
