I hooked these up to all the lamps in the living room plus the LED strip light by the bar, and programmed them to operate with 1 switch on the remote. Now they all turn and off with a press of a button. Marvelous! My friend saw it and loved it so I bought her a set for a housewarming gift. The outlets are easy to program if you follow the well-written instructions. Highly recommended so I am not wandering the house twice every evening turning on and off lights. Do not exceed the 1200 Watt Limit. *by D***S on Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2018* I love this outlet and remote. I use it to control a space heater in my TV room. My space heater has two power settings, 750 Watts and 1500 Watts. I was careful not to set the heater to 1500 watts - until I wasn't. Through my own error I accidentally set the heater to 1500 watts and, sure enough as warned, the outlet died. Rewiring the space heater, just a tad, I eliminated the possibility of going above 750 watts; however, the outlet was fried. Fortunately, I ordered a three-pack of outlets and simply started using outlet #2. Now, from the comfort of my couch, I can turn the space heater on or off with a mere touch of a button. The outlets are controlled using a radio frequency (RF) rather than infra-red so direct line of sight to the outlet is not required.
