Rubie's Mechanical Wings Costume Accessory

I was apprehensive after reading some of the reviews however I’m glad to report that the Product did not turn up broken and yes I tried it on to make sure it was not broken….. safe to say I am 36 yrs old an now want an pair of mechanical wings 😂 brilliant idea

This is for a cosplay later this year both wings go up it does feel a bit fragile but that could just be my anxiety the straps are abit tight but those could be easily replaced great product would recommend

They are decent but one of the wings doesn’t open fully!!!

I ordered these a while ago, I had to send them to a friend since they couldn't deliver to me and he then posted them to me. I've just gotten them today and they've came broken, the top of the left wing right before the joint that moved the wings has completely snapped. I'm not happy about paying over £60 for these and they've arrived broken not long before I have to go to the convention these were going to be used for. Got refunded and ordered them again, came broken again, this time when they arrived to my friend. Not happy

Was so excited to use this for a cosplay, but they came broken. For £50, it’s awful for these to be broken in mail. I spent £50 of my birthday money on these alone not including the £50 spent on feathers to decorate it. Honestly devastated.

I’m using this for dragon cosplays,the colour is good but one wing Gose higher than the other,how do I fix this?

On their own, not overly impressive but made a great frame for costume. They will not articulate with much weight added to them so you need to be mindful of what you'll be using them for. Comfortable to wear. I found the straps fit perfectly but the pull cords did stretch. Easily solved by cutting the strings and retie the loops.

These wings have been a part of every halloween for the last 3 years. there a hit at every party and the easiest way to win coolest costume

These wings are great. When folded they’re pretty unobtrusive, and when flared they’re spectacular. I’m 6’ and wear a 48” jacket and they still look impressive on me. They don’t feel super sturdy, as other reviewers have noted, but I personally didn’t have an issue. If you’re concerned about that, it would be pretty trivial to replace the screws with better ones from the hardware store and replace the strings with thin cables, would be like $5 and 30 minutes of work. The only downside to these is the size of the straps that hold them on. The wings are sized for an adult, but the straps seem child sized. I managed to squeeze them over my arms, but it was a two person effort. This would be easy to fix by getting some cheap nylon strap and making longer straps.
