It was the best sporting event experience of my life , and that peaked my curiosity about the title of this book. Once I started reading it I could not put it down. When I ordered it I assumed it would be a book about baseball , but it is much more than that. It really is about being happy and successful in life. The book is an easy read as Jesse Cole has a very engaging writing style. He talks a lot about his own personal experiences , but also draws upon the wealth of knowledge of others in our world who have revolutionized aspects of our society. When he talks about fans , the word means more than just customers in a seat in a baseball stadium. Jesse says that you have to be your own fan first , but that family members , friends , coworkers , and customers are also your fans. We should be doing things in our life that make us happy , while also striving bring joy to others one event at a time. This requires diving into new experiences wholeheartedly , learning form missteps , and growing upon the gains. He gives numerous examples about how this was put into place in his experience in building a baseball team from scratch and making it the most popular summer league team in the world . Jesse also portrays how these practices have been incorporated in his own life to bring him joy and fulfillment .
