Far cheaper to replace the starter box using this relay rather than buying a new "air compressor relay" I highly recommend using this relay as a motor starting relay, it has no problems handling the initial motor amperage draw!I bought this one because it uses the same voltage in the coil as what the air compressor motor runs on, makes for very simple wiring! The unit is also small enough to be attached virtually anywhere on your air compressor.For those of you who don't know, these items make it so you can use a small low amperage switch to turn on a large motor without burning out the switch contacts. Simply hook your switched power to the two small terminals.
