The game has a lot diversity, flavor to it, and creativity. I'm surely glad to have bought the game, although I was awaiting reviews. 31 dollars with Prime, and it's better than most of my 50-60 dollar games. Right now my character looks like Kung Lao from Mortal Kombat and now glows blue from the dye. So, that's a plus. You get outfits that let you change your class or spec on the go. The outfits look awesome and you can get them all, I believe. The transmutation system is interesting, and a bit to experiment with.I'm really enjoying the types of enemies, the timed dodging, interesting bosses, all of the different types of weapons, and the maps. The central hub and teleport to challenge layout is well done. The challenge system itself lets you pick the difficulty pretty much.Your character can triple jump walls strategically to find treasures, or illustrationary walls with hidden secrets. Also, jump attacks and fast dodging is always fun.I'm not sure if the game is as large as Diablo, but this is a newer game for console players that don't play PC. Top of the line graphics for its genre, and runs extremely smooth. I'm about half way through the game and plan to finish the game, all challenges, and have good gear eventually. This game is co-op, so that is going to be fun as well. There seems to be plenty of stuff to do in this game. The weapon changing system is done by the d-pad and the stick, so you have to get used to that eventually. Online multiplayer is available to share bounties, treasure hunts, help one another, and have fun.A hidden gem at a competitive price, and one of the best in its genre.Update: I completed the game/challenges, and it was pretty fun. Diablo has a little more longevity, but it's still a pretty good deal imo. The monsters on hard mode will 2 shot you at level 60, 30 armor, and approximately 5600 hp. The gear and enemies scale to your level. You have to use every gear/weapon setup to complete challenges. Your character will have 2 spells to use, 3 weapon abilites, and up to 6-7 cards to supplement your fighting style. It is very few and far between far that game developers use this simple recipe to create a kick ass game play style and executed it so well. The new Overkill Edition has added hours of new content compared to its predecessor that was released as a Steam only exclusive. I couldn't be happier with the port to the PS4/PS5. A little bit of platforming but not too much as I am generally not very good at that. You can play with just one player too if you like. Cool eq for both distance or up close fight styles. Change weapons and armor on the fly and there is an upgrade system. A good size game and an alternate world where Motorhead music plays and you briefly meet Lemmy. Lloyd Kaufman did behind the bar to give you direction. HA! It really can kill the hours. It's currently inexpensive and overall a pretty good time.
