This little tool is a lifesaver. I have been using an online password manager. They went from very simple to use to complex. I started coping to a note book. took a long time for 80 accounts. I came across the password safe on Amazon. High tech for a old blue collar like me. The instruction sheet is great. open it up, and look for start. then the next one. after a short time you are installing accounts. they have a system which will quickly lead you to the account you want. then type the info on the computer login . does not pair up with WIFI, but it beats at searching for the notes scattered all over yoyr table. I am sure they will upgrade it, and I will think hard about replacing my present version. One more point. It is small enough to hold in one had, but large

Solid Password Keeper, I have had the same one, for years, decided to order a second one, Very Good Choice as a backup, because there are so many passwords to keep up with now.

* The caps button should not be next to the off button. Many times I have hit the off button when I intended to hit the caps button. * The arrows surrounding OK button should be raised a bit more to allow maximum contact with finger in order to obtain maximum contact with embedded electronic connector plate. Otherwise, the item serves its purpose. I like it. Wish it was a bit more compact, like to fit flushly next to cell phone. Sort of bulky.

Have had this unit for several years now and it does the job....er, provided you do yours. Dependability solely relies on user diligence. First, you have to upload all your passwords, then revise as passwords change. Second, it takes a bit of using to get the hang of the buttons, as inadvertently shutting it off can create near insanity. Third, consistency is the name of the game while loading (caps, etc) because if you forget how you entered site, you'll never find it. All that not withstanding, it is an awesome tool for traveling. So, if you have a couple of hours to get info installed and diligently update when needed it works great. When battery dies, information is not lost.

I got this because I was compromised. I use this device in conjuction with a password generator that I've set up on my android phone. It works fantastic. It's pretty straightforward to use however one thing the listing and the manual doesn't explain is there's really only limitation to this device to keep in mind. It has a character limit. When you create an entry where you say what it's, the email, and password depending what your email and name are in length your password can only be so Many characters. I use a long email so I had to tailor my password generator around this so it's not really that big of an issue. One way around it I found was to put a little note in the password section to check the notes. Then put my actual password in the notes section so I can make it the length I needed it to be. I don't really blame the manufacturer for this since it's likely a limitation of the part that makes the display work and uses to much of the display memory when too many characters are on screen. Other than this one quirk it works exactly as it should. Just remember that if your using a password generator you will need to tailor it to the keyboard of the password safe since not all special characters are not available to use.

I cannot imagine my life without this. I now have 2 of them fearful that, if one fails I would have no backup. And it's not just for passwords. Virtually anything can be stored here.

Perfect item for storing passwords off-line. Navigation is a little cumbersome (e.g., pressing shift does not capitalize a letter, you have to have caps lock on), but overall very happy with the functionality.

I could tell that someone else had this device and had returned it. There was supposed to be a stylus with it, but it was missing. I would like the stylus to be sent to me. The batteries were already in the device so I don't know how long they are going to last. It already had a password in it, because each time I tried to put in my password it displayed that it was the wrong password. I had to erase everything before I could put in my own password to open the device. All this, before I could start using the device.

This is the second one of these I bought and both work flawlessly. I like that there is no wifi or internet involved so you can use it without constant updates and danger of hacking through out it's lifespan. I have a password protected USB zip drive and a constant headache as almost every time I use it, it wants an update or to sell other services which wastes a lot of time. This device is simple - put in your master password and select any of your sites and you have your info every time. I also bought an Aproca hard case to protect the item while travelling plus keeps dust etc. from the unit.

This was purchased to replace an address book that was full of crossed out passwords and email addresses. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars is because you must be very careful regarding capital letters. For instance, if I initially entered a description like Bell, the safe will not recognize the word "bell" with no caps. I need to go through every entry and change the caps to lower case to make it more user friendly.
