I measured it a few times but was still nervous when I ordered. The screen goes right to the edge, so I don't have to worry about bugs getting in unless they are dead set on entry. I like having my door open in the evening and no longer worry about moths getting into my house.The screen rolls slowly on its own. I've had it slip out of my hand and easily caught it. It's nice to know that I can release it from the hooks and it will not go flying off.The product overall seems very well made. The parts felt sturdy and I feel like it will last. Only time will tell.The package arrived undamaged. Props to you and USPS for that.I gotta say, at the end of the day, it looks great. With the valance, it seems like it's always been a part of my house. I have a great, unobstructed view out my door (if you're not focused on the screen). I'm absolutely in love with it.Now for the cons:The instructions could be better. They seem like they were written by someone who doesn't have a background in technical writing, so I had to keep rereading sections to make sure I understood how to install it.The valance is impossible to assemble. There was no way to clip it on after installing the screen, so I ended up attaching it via mounting tape. Maybe that's just me?The bottom could really use a handle; the way I have to grab it to lift up the screen, I'm definitely going to stretch it out. I plan to add something simple myself. I may have installed the hooks too low; again, the instructions left a little to be desired.Again, I can't reiterate how much I love this product. I'll try to remember to post an update after the winter; but it's built in a way that I can easily take it in for the off seasons. Thanks for this.UPDATE: It's been a few months and, outside of having to tape the valance on with some clear duct tape, much of my original review stays. When I unhook it, I've noticed it's a little slower to retract then when I first installed it, but I'm not concerned. The instructions could be better, but if you take your time and study it, you'll figure it out. Once you know how, it is not hard to install. Mine fits against the sides of the door pretty good. I have a gap on the bottom though. I just can't quite screw the 'screen holders, quite far enough down. I wish the bottom bar had about an inch rubber flap on the bottom bar to give me that seal.Basically, I like the screen though. Not bad. The directions were a little difficult, but it was easier using the website provided. I had to use double sided tape to get the valence to stick, because the clips do not work. They are too high with the frame installed, so they continuously unclip the screen from the door frame. The only other thing I had to alter was the bottom. My door frame isn't exactly plumb, so I had to extend the clips out. Would be helpful if the bottom clips came out. Overall, great product.
