## Description

BONIDE Systemic Insect Control kills on contact and systemically, through ingestion. It stops plant damage on many outdoor ornamental plants such as roses, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Can be mixed with fungicides or fertilizer for a combination spray application.

Review: Stinky but works sssoooo well - I didn't read a ton of reviews but I didn't see any where someone mentioned the smell.... I do want to note that it smells like actual poop. I thought it was only bad at first since it's concentrate. While I was watering I couldn't smell it as much. I figured it would dissipate more and more. I came back into my house and thought one of my dogs had an accident at first. I know a lot of pesticides don't smell good ad I've heard worse things about neem oil so maybe it's not so bad in comparison but it threw me off. Also, I didn't have a bad infestation of anything other than fungus gnats. I purchased because I noticed thrips and I thought a different (natural) spray I had wasn't going to work. I also have the granular version but I find it more confusing and difficult to use and measure out. This is really simple since you can just mix it into your water, and I like that it comes with a cup to measure it. My other spray ended up working for the thrips but I still used this in all of my houseplants just in case. Plus I figured if it helps with the fungus gnats than that would be great too. And it worked RIGHT away. It's been amazing.

**Q: Can this be used as a soil drench for houseplants**
A: Sorry to disagree, however this can NOT be used as a drench.  I had the same questions and asked Bonide directly and the answer was NOPE.  They directed me to the granules instead.  Frankly, I think that this product is very misleading as most reasonable gardeners understand "systemic" to mean a treatment for the soil which is drawn into the plant and kills insects from the inside out.  It's not.

**Q: How much do you mix in gallon of water for dogwood fungus?**
A: This is *not* a funguside. It's a systemic insecticide. You mix according to directions on the bottle and spray it on. It won't be effective for fungus on dogwood. An  important word of *caution*.... wear latex gloves when mixing and spraying. Remember this is for bugs and that you're just a very big bug. Small amounts can have effects that don't show up right away, and do accumlate if you spray again and again with skin contact. Wash any clothes that might get spray mist on them immediately (and alone in the wash load) after spraying.

**Q: How many ounces per 1 gallon of water should we mix?**
A: 2 tablespoons = 1 oz per gallon
Up to 4 tablespoons = 2 oz per gallon
It depends on the type of insect you are trying to kill.
If it does not rain after spraying, it will be effective for 4-8 weeks.

We use this on our arborvitae trees. This is the first year we've got bagworms! Started spraying the trees with this as it was recommended by a local nursery. Looks like we've stopped the damage and from now on we will spray with this every spring!
