Surprisingly, the text is quite easy to read; the sentences are not that convoluted and the wording is easy. It's only 1700+ pages long but the amount of information is quite a lot for this book's thickness. I like this book, really. I guess, like other books, the information seems to be somewhat dated in some respects especially since this was written and published prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. The text seems a little small for me. The spacing isn't to generous. You might struggle with some eye strain from time to time. Contains lots of visuals and provides valuable clarity. The book is really heavy to carry around on a frequent basis. So, I was glad that I bought the new book with ebook access code. The codes in the newest edition of the textbook as of 08/01/17 does not work on vital source platform. Vital source requires 20 digits numbers...but a short email to the publisher's tech support - Wolters Kluwer Health Learning (techsupp@lww.com) fixed it for me.
