Great Design and Perfect for Even Extraction
This WDT tool is well-designed and works perfectly for breaking up clumps and evenly distributing grounds in the portafilter. The needles have the right thickness to move through the coffee without creating channels, and the fit is ideal for my 53.3mm basket. It feels durable, easy to use, and makes a noticeable difference in shot consistency. For the price, it’s excellent value for money and a must-have tool for espresso prep.

I Like It!
This tool is helpful in airating and distributing grounds after dispensing and before tamping. In all honesty, you do not need the best brand of this tool to get the job done but I do like this one. It is magnetic, so you can attach it to the side of your machine for ease of use. It is easy to clean and to use and has held up well. My one complaint is that one of the wires did bend and is mishapen now and I have yet to figure out how to fix it. It does come with extra wires but I will have to figure out how to replace one. I'd say with this WDT tool specifically, you are paying for the brand more than the tool itself, but I still like it!

Makes Shots Pull Much Better
This is the best WDT tool I've tried. The tines are thin enough that they actually break up clumps of grounds instead of pushing them around, meaning my shots pull with a lot less channelling and an overall better flavor. The only potential downside is that after a few weeks of use the middle tine is severely bent to the side and a few other tines are slightly out of place as well (and this could be user error or damage); it's unclear if I can fix this without replacing those tines all together.

Makes a difference
Is a must really cheap and makes a difference on your coffee. Plus it has a magnet so it’s easy to store

Love it
If you own an espresso machine and a coffee grinder, this is a must have. I think this was a fair price, considering most others online were more than double the cost. It also come with replacement needles in case you accidentally damage some of the existing ones.

Great Tool For Espresso Grounds
Sturdy tool to break up your espresso grounds. Possibly a bit pricey for what it does and due to the fact that sometimes the needles become misaligned. They do provide you with extra though in case anything happens and each needle can be individually changed out.

Great tool for coffee makers
Nice tool to break up clumps in your coffee. It helps making your coffee come out smoother but, don’t expect drastic results.

Well thought out and made, good value
I own 2 other similar WDT tools and the Normcore is easily the best: better thought out and made while being similarly priced. Nice attention to detail in its design from the flat top handle for easy storage, the magnet inside the handle for more storage options, and the base unscrews for easy needle replacement or pattern customization from the default 3x3 arrangement. Mechanical tolerances seem tight as the tool never came unscrewed on its own and the needles fit inside the housing tightly without any wiggle or wobble. The needle length gives me about 5 mm of clearance with 18 grams of grounds in the portafilter basket and there are no poorly cut tips on them. It's nice that Normcore includes several replacement needles and 2 metal stickers so you could store the tool under cabinets. The 0.3 mm needle thickness is thinner than with my other tools but I find they cut through more effectively in my medium roast coffees though YMMV. Extraction consistency is probably better though it's hard to say for certain as espresso is already finnicky to begin with, definitely no worse than my other WDT tools in this regard. There's still a tendency for the grounds to get pushed vs. cut through so I might try removing some of the needles to see if that helps. The needles are thin and will bend more under aggressive use (they do spring back though) so time and care should be taken to avoid permanently warping the needles. While the metal handle isn't awkward or uncomfortable to hold, either a rubber grip or hexagonal/octagonal shape with edges would improve the grip. I've been pretty happy with this tool for the month that I've owned it. If you're considering your first WDT tool or even an upgrade, I definitely recommend the Normcore.

Buen agarre y buen material.
