I've included a pic because I am using this in a way it is not intended for. I wanted to attach a microphone boom to a 7/8 inch overhead steel bar using a SmallRig crab clamp but found that it had barely adequate holding power for a boom extended out 48 inches using a mic weighing about one pound. So I attached four of these SmallRig crab clamps to the Gator Frameworks microphone bar and now it holds the microphone boom very securely. The Foto&Tech microphone adapter is attached to the centre hole using a 3/4 inch long bolt. Review: This mount allows me to place two mics on one stand which saves having an additional full mic stand to support a 2nd mic. The mics can be angled with holders to give room for each singer and we have had lots of fun on music nights with multiple singers at the mics.
