They are pretty big so if you have your hand in it, there is little chance that you will touch something hot by accident, but they are not so big that they are awkward to manipulate Also love that they have some “grippy strips” on them so that hot Dutch oven doesn’t slip as you move it. They are also great for grabbing hot pan handles on the stove top and sheet pans out of the oven. They are not too big, but not too small. They are thick enough to handle high heat items, but flexible enough toto get a good grip.
