The Dakine Prima 5L is about the same size of the one I'm replacing, and the fabric is a little more sturdy/structured. In fact, the bottom has a hard plastic insert to keep it firm. With that intact, the bottom is rigid and about 5" wide and would not easily adapt to smooshing when packed. What i liked about my older toiletry tote was that it had no hard sides and adapted to what it was packed with. So i made a slice in the material inside and pulled the plastic insert out of the Dakine. The fabric is still thick/stiff so it will stand up on the counter or hang on a hook and still hold the contents even without the plastic insert. The worst thing about the Dakine Prima was deciding what color to buy! I ended up getting the Cortez and it's really pretty.What it fits: Regular sized shampoo/conditioner and body lotion, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush (even electric), face cleanser and cream, and probably even a travel sized flatiron will fit in this along with my makeup bag and my misc bag that contains bandaids, hair bands, safety pins, misc cold and pain meds, laundry stain sticks, lint roller, shower laundry line,and all the other random travel necessities i keep in this bag. It's big enough for your stuff but not crazy ridiculous big. It was listed in a travel blogger's article on the 10 best toiletry bags of 2018 - and I have to agree! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits everything I needed and more! *by Q***H on August 30, 2015* I thought this bag was going to be a lot bigger and was really contemplating on returning it. But I was getting ready to take a 2 week trip and decided to see how much it can really hold. I was able to fit the following items in the bag:1 - 8.9 oz can of hairspray1 - 5.5 oz can of antifriz spray2 - 12 oz bottles of contact solutions1 - 2.6 oz Secret deodorant1 - 3 fl. oz bottle of body spray3 travel size bottles (shampoo,body lotion, conditioner)1 - 1.8 oz can of sun tan lotion1 toothbrush1 Tube of toothpaste1 razorand the bonus, I was able to fit my full size straightener in the bag as well!Surprisingly it all fit, and zipped up very easily. I didn't have to ask someone to help zip it up or force it to close.It also fit in the pocket of the DAKINE 65L split level luggage ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love this bag *by S***S on January 25, 2015* I love this bag! I bought this for a weekend getaway to carry my hair products that are in full size bottles (I'm picky about my products and didn't want to put the effort into making them travel size!) and it fit everything I needed. and more. I was able to fit full-sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hairspray, as well as a travel hair straightener and a travel can of shaving cream. In the plastic pouch included, I additionally put 3 small bottles of face washes/products, The little pockets on the side were a nice touch for other small bottles and I just packed some advil, just in case. The design is adorable and the material is high quality.
