I found it to be rugged enough for indoor, static use. I haven’t used it more than a handful of times, but the adjusting mechanism seems very good (smoothly adjusting to fit my phone) and the dual adapters (to orient the mount vertically or horizontally) are very good too. I have no complaints. It was interesting to note that the cheap tripod I was going to use had a plastic adapter and was unable to tighten enough for a steady shot. My better tripod, with metal adapter works great.
