I used it for double bass, for metal and other genres. Attaches pretty well, and gives the sound a much clearer attack and better punch. I have since upgraded to a Danmar PDKP, which does the same thing just even more exaggerated. If you're looking to change up your sound and get a little more kick in the mix, this is a good start.
