Review: Pricey but good! - Pricey but good! Review: Nonexistent packaging results in damaged and ruined product. - Was so looking forward to receiving these, but given their price, I certainly was shocked when they arrived in a padded envelope and nothing more. The package was smashed beyond recognition. All the French fancies were mashed together barely recognizable. Very annoying that these are not able to be returned or apparently refunded? Really dissatisfied with this situation. Be aware before you order, the seller does not put any effort at all into ensuring that these high priced pastries arrive intact. ## Features - Mr Kipling French Fancies - 8 Cakes to a box - Dainty sponge fancies with a delicious vanilla topping, drenched in soft fondant icing. I defrosted them on the counter and served them to my family. Ugh! They were nasty! Definitely do NOT recommend freezing! However, they do remain fresher if refrigerated. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pricey but good! *by R***O on July 1, 2026* Pricey but good! ### ⭐ Nonexistent packaging results in damaged and ruined product. *by R***D on May 1, 2026* Was so looking forward to receiving these, but given their price, I certainly was shocked when they arrived in a padded envelope and nothing more. And they're small so you needn't feel (too) guilty when you eat one. Actually, I managed to take such small bites, I make them last several minutes. btw, there's an interesting youtube video about the Mr. Kipling factory, which is how I discovered them. I wish American stores would carry these wonderful sweet little pastries. ## Frequently Bought Together - Mr Kipling French Fancies cakes - Mr Kipling Mini Battenbergs 5ea - Mr Kipling Cherry and Almond Bakewell 6pk - Set of 2 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/42178272-french-fancies-cakes](https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/42178272-french-fancies-cakes) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Kingdom* *Store origin: GB* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
