I usually cut my own hair or have a friend cut it for me so I'm not sure on specifics. This product is exactly as it claims - low shine, medium hold. It's very workable even throughout the day which I appreciate a lot. Doesn't make my hair look greasy, and it feels as good as you can hope hair with product in it will feel.
