Since the end connectors have to go inside the hose in order to crimp on the outside, the inside diameter of the hose is greater than the end connectors inside diameter and the only flow restriction will be the ID of the end connectors. **Q: Do they come with screens? Thanks** A: Hello,this washing machine hose does not come with screens. **Q: Can a washing machine hose be used on a dishwasher? I was told "no" that a dishwasher hose was made from food grade materials. Any thoughts????** A: The hose used on a dishwasher if it is a built in unit would have a different size connection on the ends than this product (3/8" compression). if the dish washer is a portable unit as many older units were it would have a standard garden hose thread and could possibly work with provided adapters. I gave install 4 stars because the hoses are not color coded. While this is a 6 foot hose and easy enough to trace, there are others out there with red/blue woven in or marked on the ends and that makes for a 5 star install IMHO. These 2 hoses are in effect identical and indistinguishable from one another out of the box. But they were cheaper than ones that did have this feature and that could be the difference in price.
