But I imagine it would be a heck of a lot more work if you had to create these little bowls from scratch.Following the recipe, they were very good. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kral Kemalpasa Turkish Dessert *by M***L on October 8, 2022* A product of Turkey these cheese pastries require cooking in a sugar syrup. This is my first taste of this sweet so I can’t compare them to any others but they are very good although after absorbing the syrup, they are quite sweet. The instructions on the back of the package are to add 33.81 ounces of water, 4 1/2 cups of sugar and 4 or 5 drops of lemon juice to a saucepan, stir well, put on the heat and then add the entire package of pastries. (I made half the syrup and cooked half the package).Stir gently every 10 minutes until the syrup comes to a boil (this took less than 10 minutes on my cooktop) then lower the heat and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes. At that point turn off the heat and let rest 10 minutes and then serve. The size is approximately double from beginning to end. I added a few chopped pistachios to garnish although other suggestions are on the bag.Starting out quite dry and hard the finished texture is difficult to describe--sort of a rubbery pancake that requires a bit more chewing but is still tender. After cooking in the syrup the pieces although yielding were not fragile and none fell apart. Two or three would make a good dessert portion and a cup of tea or coffee is a good accompaniment.
