**Q: How long does warm stay on after switching on?**
A: I believe mine stays on for about 9 hours after cooking. I'll make bone broth in the afternoon and leave it overnight, and take care of it the following morning.

**Q: How much do you need to increase the liquid for the recipe book, which seems geared toward the vitaclay that seals?**
A: I have the Vitaclay with the loose top.  I started out adding a lot of extra liquid but it really doesn't need that much extra.  Everything cooks faster than a traditional slow cooker so if you were going to keep it on warm for a long while I guess you would need to add a bit more liquid.  I really love it.  I feel great about eating everything prepared in it - no weird chemicals, etc.

**Q: Why does my bone broth not gel in the fridge?**
A: Bone broth gels from collagen.  If your bones don't have a lot of collagen or if you have more water than bones you might not see it gel.  It is still very good for you.

**Q: Can you cook rice in this?**
A: I won't cook rice in it.  Unless there is plenty of liquid in the machine it burns pretty badly .  The rice would be fine at the start but by the time it was done it would all stick to the pot.

Not a slow cooker, not even on the slow setting. You will most likely be disappointed if you are using this to replace a crockpot. Although I love the fact that it has no chemicals and lead free glaze it cooks way too fast. On the slow setting my soup was at a rapid boil in an hour. Luckily, I was home and could turn it off. For the price I would not suggest it.
