It holds up better and feels like a better quality than the so called 'normal' 20lb paper. Plus, I buy my paper at Costco in the 800 sheet package for the same price as most stores sell the 20lb paper of 500 sheets which is a standard ream size.With that being said, I bought 1/2" Pro Click bindings to use on the 65 sheet books I'm making. That size is supposed to handle 85 sheets of 20lb. I thought they would be big enough to hold the 65 sheets of 24lb paper, but they aren't. It's hard to turn the pages and you risk tearing the paper.So I then bought the 5/8" Pro Click bindings which is supposed to hold 110 sheets of 20lb. This is the size that works great, looks great and allows for page turning, and opening up the book flat for my 65 pages of 24lb papers. I like that we can make our documents, keep them bound, after the three-year requirement for holding the files, I can open these up and reuse them again for new documents. They hold up very well. Plus, if you notice a typo or a forgotten page you can easily open/close these.
