Review: This thing was great for measuring AC vent output - Dang this kept me from needing to hire some HVAC company to come out and help troubleshoot poor AC duct performance. Was able to use this to figure out how to get as much cold AC air upstairs as possible. I don't use if for extremely precise scientific variation calculations...LoL (tried to use a bunch of big words) so cannot say for 100% that it is like scientifically precise...but it measured air flows from my ducts and at the cold air intakes in a consistent manner...which was exactly what I needed. It also has a digital thermometer on it, that seemed pretty accurate too...so kind of a nice additional option.

Dang this kept me from needing to hire some HVAC company to come out and help troubleshoot poor AC duct performance. Was able to use this to figure out how to get as much cold AC air upstairs as possible. Battery life is good. Tripod is flimsy but works. I add some weight to it to keep from blowing over. When long distance shooting, it's just as accurate as a few competitors $300 units. I also use it to monitor wind speed when running SAR operations with my drone. No complaints. The back-lit LCD is a bonus.
