With a low profile design and compatibility with standard silicone feeding tubes, it ensures optimal functionality while promoting healing. ## Description Leland Research has developed a unique system to manage silicone feeding tubes 1/4" (OD) in diameter (.635 cm). This system is ideally used in feeding tube replacement of existing retention ring bolsters. This replacement bolster must be placed on top of a keyhole cut sterile gauze pad positioned to cover the site post surgery. The bolster can be installed as soon as 5-7 days after surgery. The bolster has a slot that the silicone feeding tube can be stretched, pulled, and snapped into place. The bolster is less than 1/2" high and is made in a way that allows a good amount of air to get to the surgical site. This bolster replaces the standard bolster or external retention ring. It is designed to allow the tube to bend 90 degrees without collapsing, thus allowing the tube to be low profile. Even with the 90 degree bend there is no noticeable decrease in liquid flow. A silicone retainer sleeve is used for added stability. The polyester pouch is designed with opposing baskets to work with the elasticity of the tubing to keep the feeding tube contained in the pouch and at the same time the tension of the coiled tubing keeps the pouch closed. This eliminates the possibility of having the syringe port open and leaking. The pouch is equipped with a center hinged butterfly type anchor bail to be secured to the abdomen with the 3M Medipore tape #2961. This tape can withstand showering. This allows an absolutely secure, comfortable and flexible attachment to the abdomen. Attached to the pouch is an elastic tie-down that ties to the feeding tube and helps keep the tube from backing out of the pouch and helps reduce strain on the tubing site. At feeding time there is no need to untie the elastic tie. Just remove the tubing from the pouch and administer the gravity feeding. After feeding, coil and store in the pouch as before. ## Features - Can install 5-7 days after surgery.
