Is this vegetarian or vegan especially without the shrimp paste? I've seen others with shrimp paste.

It has no shrimp or fish like other curry pastes. Also, it is sugar free. It is the only one I use for my vegan husband.

What is it in the contents that looks like tiny hairs? Please help! I love the taste, but I can't eat it since my husband made a joke about it.

I did google the ingredients, I am seeing Green Chillies (30%) Shallot, Lemongrass, Salt, Garlie, Glangal Kaffir Lime Peel, Cumn Coriander seeds and Tumeric. You can google yourself and check it out.
