Using the spreader to spread compost over new grass seed, I was more than satisfied with its performance. Though it was not able to perform optimally due to the excess moisture of the compost, it did the job well, capturing any small roots and rocks. Furthermore, I feel confident it would be a perfect tool for spreading loam over a lawn or garden as well. It seems well made, and all in all, I am thoroughly pleased with the product and am sure it will serve me for many years to come.

**Q: What size are the diagonal shaped holes?**
A: The size of the diagonal shaped hole is 2x1.5cm, and the opening size is 10.5", thanks.

**Q: how long (time and distance) before the spreader is empty and needs to be refilled? how long to refill?**
A: Length of  output will depend upon the coarseness of the material that you are depositing. My peat moss gave about 100' of length.

**Q: what gauge is the drum mesh?**
A: It's close to #1 mesh. The holes are 0.75" x 1" inch diamonds. It's perfect for spreading peat moss and loose compost.

**Q: What is the warranty on this item?**
A: No warranty was sought, nor expected ! Perhaps the only concern that I have, This unit does not appear to have any bearings: IE; Sealed type bearings on either shaft (2) of one on each end of the expanded metal basket. Very dusty when rotated, an open grease or non sealed bearings would be a disaster. I've had mine for several years, works and functions as I hoped for.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works as intended

Product works well and dispenses the peat moss, sand, topsoil, lawn soil to remove wood chips and other material in it. The only reason I only gave it 4 stars is because the latches on it are a pain having to remove them and clip them back on each time you need to refill it. Some other products have them on the side that seems way easier and more practical. It be great if instead of their being 3 in the middle, there was one on each side and then just one in the middle. The latches also seem a little flimsy but so far they lasted for this season of use.
