Review: Affordable and Powerful - We've been trying to incorporate more fermented, probiotic-rich foods into our diet, and as part of that, decided to switch from Culturelle probiotics to a Soil Based Probiotic (SBO). This is one of the more affordable SBO's that still provides a high quality supplement. Be forewarned, if you already try to incorporate probiotic-rich foods into your diet and are otherwise healthy, these will plug you up at the recommended dosage; which is not necessarily a bad thing, because it proves how powerful they are. We became SO constipated after about a week of taking 2 capsules a day that we cut back to one a day, and then one every other day. I imagine these would be excellent for curing antibiotic-induced diarrhea. They are definitely more powerful than the probiotics our family dr recommends. If we've been around sick people or are under a lot of stress, we'll bump back up to 2 a day, but we normally take one a day or one every other day. And, as an added bonus, after incorporating these supplements into our routine, we haven't had so much as a cold in 5 or 6 months.

We've been trying to incorporate more fermented, probiotic-rich foods into our diet, and as part of that, decided to switch from Culturelle probiotics to a Soil Based Probiotic (SBO). This is one of the more affordable SBO's that still provides a high quality supplement. Be forewarned, if you already try to incorporate probiotic-rich foods into your diet and are otherwise healthy, these will plug you up at the recommended dosage; which is not necessarily a bad thing, because it proves how powerful they are.
