Overall length of device is 31 inches Dogging Key - Keeps latch retracted. Converts door to a push pull function Exterior Locking Lever Trim. Key retracts latch bolt, unlocks lever. ANSI function 08 Adjustable roller latch - Mounts on door frame stop. Certifications ANSI Grade 1 approved, exceeds 500,000 cycles Complies with ANSI 117.1 for accessible and usable Buildings and Facilities Standards ADA Compliant Keyed Exterior Lever The Dynasty Hardware Exit Panic Device comes with an exterior lever that can be either locked or unlocked using the set of keys which are included ANSI Function 08 Uses "C" Keyway Dogging Key Each Dynasty Hardware Exit Devices comes with a dogging key. Dogging is a function of the exit device on the inside of the door. Dogging is when the latch of the device is mechanically held retracted by locking the panic device in the depressed position. When the device is in the dogged position the door can be opened by simply pushing on the inside or pulling on the exterior handle. This is a great feature for doors that receive heavy traffic. The device can be dogged using the hex key that comes with the device. Simpy insert the key into the hole on the push pad and turn. Review: Good Product, Terrible Instructions - The product is as described by the product description (and by other reviewers). Seems very well made and heavy duty, but as other reviewers mentioned the directions are dreadful, and they refer to a template that is nonexistent, but install was fairly easy. I had to do quite a bit of tinkering to move the old key cylinder into the new handle, but even that wasn't too hard. I suggest watching a YouTube video or two showing professionals installing push bars, as their tips + common sense are infinitely more helpful than the enclosed directions. Product serves the purpose we needed it to, appears as if it will last, and came on time from Home Hardware Central. Updated/Simplified Directions for those that need them: 1. Remove old lock set if needed 2. Remove head and end covers from push bar 3. Mount outside door handle 4. Hold push bar on inside of door, use a level to make sure it's straight, and mark the holes 5. Leave bar to the side and drill holes 6. Attach bracket to hold butt end of push bar 7. Insert bar into bracket and put in rest of the screws 8. Mount roller latch to frame 9. Reattach head and end covers

**Q: Does not lock or open from outside**
A: Yes, it does.  The keyset merely engages or disengages the exterior handle from operating the latch mechanism.  When "locked," the handle moves, but does not do anything to actuate the latch.  When "unlocked," the handle will operate the latch to open the door.  If the panic bar is in the "dogged" position, the door is always unlocked, and the handle keyset won't make any difference, as the door cannot be locked.  I hope this helps you understand how this device operates.

**Q: Is this for outdoor use?**
A: I am using it on an outside door. There have been no problems and no rusting.  I do not know if the manufacturer intended it to be used outside.

**Q: What size stile is necessary to mount this bar?**
A: This exit device does not work on narrow style glass doors. If the door is 36 inches wide we recommend that the styles be 6 inches minimum.

**Q: Is it possible to get 3 keyed the same?**
A: They are sold on Amazon in packs of 4 keyed alike. Here is the link

You can order 3 and take the exterior levers to a lock shop and they can key 2 of them to match the third very easily. They use a Schlage C keyway
