## Questions & Answers

**Q: how long is the circumference ?**
A: Ours about a foot across

**Q: is it ok if it develops green fungi on it?**
A: I wash them when the green stuff appears. Also the filters.

**Q: After the first few months of use, it's like I have to clean it every few weeks. Does that mean our water has more in to filter out?**
A: Not Really,if you're using tap water. The manual recommends lightly cleaning it once a week (whether it needs it or not). (For faster filtering after cleaning) then let it dry for 45 min. to an hour and fill. I use R/O (filtered) water in mine and I still have to clean the Ceramic Pre-Filter. The cleaning is just apart of owning this unit and your water is pretty clean if the filter doesn't clog for months (or weeks). If you are using an R/O system at home to filter your water, then it might be getting close to time for you to change out your R/O filters. Hope this helps.

**Q: Does this pre stage filter require any maintenance or is good for a year as it states?**
A: Every time you clean your santevia water system you need to clean the ceramic pre-filter. So if you follow the instructions from the set up process. You will clean this ceramic filter the same way every time you clean your system. If the water from your tap has a lot of algae in it you will have to scrub it off. This process will make this ceramic filter thinner and thinner. I have a lot of algae in my tap water, but so far the filter had lasted a year.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Game changer
*by M***K on 2 August 2024*

We have enjoyed the santevia water system for three years now. It is expensive, so we recently tried other water filters. Without exaggeration, other water filtration systems just can’t compare. We use the ceramic pre-filter, fluoride filter, and mineral stones. I frequently use testing strips for the water that we filter and this DOES work. This is hands down the most thorough filtration system that removes the unwanted impurities from tap water while adding minerals back into the water. We briefly tried the Invigorated water because the replacement filters were so much cheaper, but it seemed to have zero filtration power and didn’t make any difference in taste or ph of our tap water. So we reordered our replacement Santeria filters are very happy.
