And I started pushing harder on my knives to cut, I only sharpened my knives a little for now, because I've got to get used to not pressing so hard after they fully get sharpened, ( safety reason) I will gradually get them back to sharp and be able to cut with more ease. . I've noticed on video reviews, some viewers were slicing their knives back n forth. (PLEASE DONT DO THAT) read directions. It is very simple to use and quickly it sharpened my knives in just 3 passes thru the sharpener fast and smooth. It is well designed , and is nice looking to keep on counter if desired, and is also nicely shaped to fit neatly away to store, it is a good value.
