DEWALT Scroll Saw Stand (DW7880)

The stand went together very easily (once I got the assembly instructions) and the saw is very sturdy on it. It was received without the instruction sheet (it was apparent that the box had been opened and resealed by someone). Amazon could not send or email to me the missing instructions so they sent a whole new stand so that I could open it and remove the instructions. Took another week to wait for the replacement to arrive. I took out the instructions, made a photocopy, and put the copy in the box before I shipped it back to Amazon (at their expense). Wouldn't you think someone at Amazon could have done that for me and just mailed or emailed the instruction sheet to me? It's only one page. They way they did it, it cost them shipping both ways and cost me a delay of a week to get the thing put together. Dumb! But buy the stand. It's quite satisfactory for this scroll saw.

We bought this stand for my son for Christmas (his grandparents bought him the desalt scroll saw). It took me about 30 minutes to assemble..I would recommend using a rachet set. It was a pretty straightforward assembly, lots of bolts. Once everything was tightened up I mounted the saw, for perfectly as expected. There’s no wheels but it’s pretty easy to drag around. The main thing is the stand is sturdy and at the right height to work. I made a place for it in the garage shop and it works perfectly. Highly recommend if you get the dewalt scroll saw (which is awesome BTW).

I bought this because the legs are adjustable. They are not. The front leg is adjustable, but the two back legs are not. So, we shall see, over time, if it works out. It's well-made easy to put together but if I'm going to get adjustable legs, I will have to make wooden blocks and drill new holes in the bottom of the back to legs to make them actually adjustable. As far as assembly goes, there's a picture of the item with obvious visual instructions as to the placement of the carriage, bolt lock washer, washer, and nut. A chimpanzee could put this together very easily.

This stand is made for the Dewalt scroll saw. It comes unassembled with clear and easy to follow assembly instructions. There is no storage other than a bottom brace that can double as a small shelf. The back leg is adjustable for users who prefer a forward slant to the scroll saw table. We found it to be sturdy, stable and compact. It sits low enough for the user to be seated with shop stool

Great experience with the DW788, but the stand makes the cutting experience much more enjoyable - and comfortable. I took advantage of the feature to raise the rear leg - the forward tilt helps me with my posture during the cut. Came with a plethora of screws but straight forward wrt assembly - single page instruction included, handy but not required. I did not bolt this to the floor or anything and the saw has the same very minimal vibration (and only at high speeds) - stable, not tippy - however I don't move the saw either. Giving 5 stars because the stand does what it should and of course is a perfect fit - but manufacturer should include the stand with saw as other mid range/high end scroll saw companies have done.

The stand is strong and well made. The bolt holes line up nicely and assembly is easy. Caution! Top Heavy and Unstable. Do not install the saw unless the stand is securely mounted/fastened to the floor. If you do you are asking for a disaster if the saw is pushed or bumped - it will tip over very easily. before mounting the stand to the floor we tested it. If you are not wanting to fasten it to the floor or add outriggers for stability I would not use this stand.

You need this for your scroll saw! It frees up work space and and doesn’t take up a lot of room. Making it easier to pick up and move when needed. This is a very sturdy stand and well made.

Great instructions allow this stand to be put together with few tools and frustration in a short time. The ability to assemble the stand with a built in tilt is great for clearing chips from the saw by gravity as it is in operation. They even supply a few extra pieces of the assembly nuts and bolts in case you loose one of the small easy to loose parts. Far better than having one or two short and not being able to finish the assembly with out a trip to the local hardware store. The tripod design insures all feet will remain flat on the floor at all times. Not too wide so it takes up little floor space in a smaller shop. Light weight and strong, it serves well.

Good product in general. There is chance for the assembly instructions to improve by being more friendly, with more information on where to start and how to continue (it's a general schematic rather than a list of steps). It could become a little difficult to keep assembly in shape while adding the rest of the parts until completion.

Great stand for the saw. Really a breeze to put together. Very happy with this product. It just finish the saw.

Package arrived on time as expected. The outer package looke like it was run over by the truck, the inside box had been opened and smaller parts were all scattered in the outside box. To continue. When I unwrapped the plastic everthing was fine. Not a scratch!!! When assembled everthing fit perfectly and there were even a couple of screws left over. Very pleased with this. Don't judge a book by it's cover. Thanks deWalt and Amazon.
