It is accurate to my ability to verify. I have some metric steel rulers that seem very accurate. When I extend the caliper to 150mm and compare it to the steel rule, it is right on the ruled mark. 4. It handles well. The thumb roller that allows you to make fine adjustments handles well, as does the twist locks. Like most digital devices, you can set the caliper at a distance, zero it there, measure something else and it will give you a difference, in case you never learned to subtract. This requires that you close the calipers and zero them to be sure of accuracy. The fractional inch mode is of little use.
