My wife wanted it for me as I have chronic back pain, albeit, this is more for my upper spine/neck. It has actually turned out to have multiple uses in different positions that without it would usually cause increased pain. However, that has been arrested due to the support and cushioning of this beaded little pillow. Therefore, I use it a lot as it does the job and then some...very happy customer!!! The fabric naturally stretches over time but if you put another stretchy fabric or smaller pillow case, then it will last longer. Be careful with the stitch as some microbeads may escape from the stitched area.
