The ink seems to sit on the ribbon rather than soak in, and because it's so surface level, I get a foggy impression of the ribbon itself around the typed letters. My typing looks like someone too the side of a lead pencil and tried to take a rubbing. I've used the ribbons on different machines with the same result. I'm going to try to wipe up some of the extra ink on the all black ribbon to see if it improves, but the black/red will be a little tricky. Maybe I'll unspool it and try to let it dry out some in a box.
